Circle - Boots Chip/system into PSX DVD Video mode.I have also uploaded system folder for you, you can download it here: Īlso, here are some useful tricks (use them when your PS2 is booting): Then plug it in to your PS2 and try to run it again. You will have to format a USB stick to FAT32 and put system folder with its content on it. Also, scph 50001 v9 mobo, alternate solder points used for a, b, g, h, i, the link to the diagram I used is any ideas on how to fix this issue? I will upload pictures of my experience when I have the chance. If I press start when the ps2 starts the chip does disable and then I reset and the ps2 acts normal. after trying to load for about 30 secs or so, the screen displays 4 red buttons with exclamation marks on them and written at the top of the screen is a message about being unable to load config file. Cool beans! The screen goes black and then displays a message about loading the bios. excellent! I look at the tv screen and see the matrix log.

I push the power button and get the little green light and little blue light. little red light came on, so far so good. After I put it back together, I plugged in the cables, flipped the power switch in the back and held my breath.

If it's the latter, is there a way to permanently disable the Matrix Infinity chip on the PS2 without having to physically remove it or is soldering it out the only option? I find it a hassle to disable the Matrix after every restart especially since pressing the restart button whenever a game is up would lead to the system to go on stand by mode which would then mean having to disable the chip once again followed by another restart just to access OPL.So I bought a modbo 5.0 chip from ebay and I just finished installing it tonight. My problem now is, is there a way for Matrix Infinity to load in the SATA hard drive with no problem or is FreeMcboot/OPL the only way for me to access the drive from now on? Just to clarify, Matrix has no problem reading my IDE HDDs. After a few tests, I've discovered that the hard drive itself and the adapter is fine because if I access the HDD via FreeMcBoot/OPL, it can read the drive with no problem and can access the games easily. I've recently received a SATA adapter for my PS2 and whenever I use my SATA HDD on it, it will always show a black screen after the Matrix logo (I can still disable the chip and access other Matrix options).
